Before You Try

any "subtle" healing product ...
Modern medicines are generally dense, force an action in the body regardless of mindset, and are often harmful if taken when not needed. That is not the case with most ancient, alternative, or subtle healing technologies, aka energy medicine. Subtle healing helps the body amp up where it's flagging, or settle down where it's over-reacting. In other words, natural, subtle, alternative medicine is more of a normalizer that happens to help the body heal itself more efficiently while doing little to no harm if it happens to not be needed. This is especially helpful to those born of a more sensitive internal nature who suffer more from small imbalances than the average person.

To truly know if "alternative" treatments are working for you, it helps to temporarily set aside disbelief as you would do in order to enjoy a movie.
  • For the uninitiated, trying an alternative product on your own can be a frustrating experience
  • It can feel like you are lost
  • You might fear being scammed.
So, before you buy or try, please accept my general guidance to help you understand what to look for whenever trying any new, subtle energy technology:

Step 1: Prepare to Listen
  • Before you put on a subtle healing product or receive subtle healing therapy, prepare yourself.
  • Most people cannot feel the inside of their bodies. Some people can. Most sensitive people can. If you can't, you can learn, but it takes practice.
  • So, the first thing to know is: Don't look for obvious, external sensations; instead, learn to listen to or feel your insides. To do that, you must start from a place of quiet.
  • Start from a quiet place in a quiet room, preferably without any jackhammers outside your home or screaming neighbors.
  • Take a few, moderately slow deep breaths and simply notice how you feel in the inside of your body, from head to toe. No judgment. No imagination. Just notice. For some of you, this will be boring as hell. You'll have to discipline yourself. It's easier if you choose it and have a good attitude about it; same as with life.
  • Things to help you take notice: Do some areas feel cooler or warmer, heavier or lighter, tingly or numb? Are there any differences between left and right sides, front and back, top and bottom?

Step 2: Mindfully give it a go
  • Whatever product or therapy you've decided to try, try it on from a place of quiet, and in a listening state as described, above.
  • Observe how you feel on the inside. Don't judge anything, not even if you feel nothing.
  • Those who are more neurologically sensitive, may notice super subtle sensations like a "tingle" or a "buzz" somewhere.
  • In the world of the subtle, it is common to have a fleeting thought, image, color, or sensation, then dismiss it as just imagination or silliness. Don't dismiss anything! That subtle "thing" is "your" starting point.
  • Paula noticed tingles around her skull after one VoxxLife sock was slipped on. Then further skull tingles when the other sock was donned. The body quickly shifts and adapts, so these sensations were not felt after the first few trials. But her neuropathy symptoms became and remained unnoticeable with the socks on, so she wears them day and night.
  • Don't worry if you don't notice anything - it is a learned skill for most people, and few are taught.
  • More importantly: You don't have to feel it working for it to work, but you should notice either improvement in symptoms or performance with and without.

Step 3: Be careful for the first 72 hours!
  • If you feel like walking more, running further, or working longer within the first 72 hours, Great! But please don't do more than you normally would. Your body is getting something it may have needed, very much, and is therefore in healing mode.  If you overdo, you could hurt yourself. Please don't hurt yourself!
  • For the 1st 72 hours, let your body do its thing without distraction. You can do your normal activities, but don't do more than you would normally do!
  • Maybe also give your body a little more rest and fluids during this time.

Step 4: Mindfully go on with your life
  • Continue to pay quiet attention as you go on with your life, from morning through night.
  • Most people notice changes after the fact. Did you sleep more or less? Was the quality of your sleep better or worse? Did you respond the same or different to a typical stress? Did you run further than you usually do? Did you sleep less but still feel okay? Things like that.

For the critical, smart, open scientist in you:
  • If you need dense, blatant, obvious, before-and-after results? You may be disappointed.
  • Or, find a practitioner who will do a demo with you before you buy.
  • Or, use the product for 1-5 days, then remove for 1, full day, then reapply and compare the difference.
  • Or, design your own before-and-after experiment. Don't choose something you are already great at (unless you are highly-self-aware) because the margin will be narrow and may be difficult to notice. Think about where in your body you struggle the most; this will provide a wider, more noticeable margin.
