Do Your Own Research

As a victim of well-meaning but harmful medical dietary advice, I experimented and suffered for too long before finding answers that made a true difference. I am happy to report that others more official than I have, too, and they are getting organized. The information on diet for health is undergoing incredible change. As I locate resources that I think make the grade, I'll update here, for you.

  • The Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners - Is new and may help you find - or educate - clinicians who are diet enlightened. Please report any providers who claim understanding but don't practice it with their patients.
 

Fasting For Immunity

Because my only witness to fasting was by people doing it irresponsibly, I delayed for too long the very health-promoting dietary activity I needed to turn my girth and immune situations around. Now I have a tool - with guidance - that I can use anytime I need it. But don't take my word for it. Hear what Dr. PJ has to say.

How to Fast Safely

​Like most anything in life there is a right way to do it, and it usually comes with boundary-defining caveats. No one is better at defining the fasting boundaries, without the unnecessary surplus that can cloud the picture, than Dr. Jason Fung, author of The Obesity Code, The Diabetes Code, and of many articles freely shared. You need not have diabetes to need to fast, yet it's a good place to start understanding.

Irrational Dietary Advice That Works

Diet is a tricky subject. We are each biochemically unique.  Our diets may need to reflect that if we have unsolvable health problems. Once we learn what different foods can do to us, it is easier to be motivated to remove a food if we know it is behind our aching bones or inflamed flesh. Dr. Ken Berry had his own health struggles. His medical education led him down the path of chronic disease. So, he went rogue, got scientific, experimented - and found a better way. He has many wonderful videos to choose from, yet this one is special. If it doesn't float your boat, visit Dr. Berry's channel, search on something that interests you, and get to know thyself.

​Admirable Anti-Anxiety and Life Advice

 Truth comes with a balanced resonance that heals, and this brain surgeon speaks healing truths. He reminds us that while we can live without our thinking brain, we cannot live without our emotional brain. Those who suffer from emotion-based illnesses can heal themselves, but Paula wants you to know that your emotions have never been wrong, because the body never lies. Our thinking, however, can help or hinder, as can the second-hand thinking of others. We must learn to discern.
Caveat: He's a little off/behind on the dietary aspect, but it's forgivable.
