Off The Cuff
Take what works, discard what doesn’t.

Image by Jackie Ramirez via Pixabay It's not that I don't understand hate. After all, I hate litter, air pollution, noise pollution, and any other pollution you can think of. This is healthy hate. I don't hate good, intelligent, talented people. I don't hate anything that is healthy, joyous, or challenging. That would be toxic hate. To hate that which is healthy and good is to be pathological. Pathological attitudes cause the negative stress that leads to chronic health conditions. Then there are the actions taken as a result of hate. All emotions are valid and serve a purpose. It is what we do as a result of those emotions that matters.
Toxic dealing is pathological and causes negative stress leading to chronic health conditions. Toxic hate is what I am begging society to pay attention to and do something about. Yet, all I get is silence or blank stares or worse: "Everyone is doing the best they can; everyone is good underneath." Sorry, folks. Not true. The number one thing we should never do, is impose our emotions, good or bad, upon others. Or if we do, apologize and make it right. Yet, almost all I see, left and right, are people running with their emotions. It's the energetic equal of running with a sharp knife. People are going to get hurt! Strong emotions with little or no examination or discipline, is like toddlers having tantrums. When are we going to grow up into adults who choose to be good role models, wherever we find ourselves? A painful, dysfunctional, traumatic past is no excuse. Some of the most beautiful people alive came out of the fires of hell to be leaders for the good of mankind.
Researchers from multiple disciplines are learning about the root causes of chronic disease and addiction. Enjoy this interview with Robert Lustig, MD, to help us see what kinds of things in our environment, totally within our control, will either lead us toward or away from health, both individually and as a civilization.

We are all a unique, tiny, finite piece of the global puzzle.
We are each equally almost nothing and yet together we make up everything. Let us choose to blend together, beautifully. ~ Paula Mae
Because of my profession, I expect any day now to have the police at my door. At least that’s the way I feel sometimes when I tell people I’m a massage therapist and then I see how they look at me! In my old profession, I may have taken respect for granted. I guess not many people switch from software engineer to massage therapist for a living! ...
It took oh-so long to convince people that we were not getting enough vitamins and minerals from our food. And we weren’t. The food-growing industry had changed: What are now referred to as “conventional” foods, didn’t contain near the subtle nutrient value as foods grown as recently as thirty years ago – foods we now refer to as “organic”. ...
TSUNAMI, ANIMALS AND THE RETURN TO BEING HUMANS
Occasionally, folks ask us about where the safest place to live is in light of the traditional prophecies regarding the potential for cataclysm including natural disasters. Our response is typically that when we come to balance within ourselves, aligned with our natural path and purpose we will find ourselves in the right place. There is no one part of the world that we should flock to because of its "safety." The only thing to be sure of is not to make decisions based on fear. ... |

AuthorI have the intelligence to know I am stupid, and the arrogance to experiment. Both are key scientific values. GoalTo express solution-oriented ideas toward a healthier self and society. Then do thoughtful diligence, because we often lie to ourselves through unwise judgment. Archives
