Drinkable Arthritis Relief

11/11/2023

Picture
A multi-purpose home remedy ingredient I purposely ignored due to my gut’s inability to tolerate it, has turned out to be an occasional, needed remedy: Vinegar. Specifically, apple cider vinegar or ACV. It is one of three main ingredients in a recipe I hope you will join me in trying. Well diluted, ACV is already known to be a digestive helper, immune supporter, and weight loss tool, but combined with one or two other antimicrobial ingredients, it packs a powerful punch for arthritic relief, too - but only if it 'tastes' right to you. Vinegar can exasperate candida symptoms and potentially stress liver, kidneys, and central nervous system. As always with natural medicines, use judiciously and do your own research.

Emotions and Our Health

4/25/2019

It doesn't take long for astute bodywork clinicians to observe that the attitude and outlook of their client often determines the success of therapy results. Trust is key, and then courage with open-mindedness soon follow for those those who tend to benefit the most, health-wise. This is why Paula encourages every client to openly collaborate with her from first visit to last.
For those interested in understanding how our emotions, most often a reflection of our attitude, can directly affect our health, dive deep into Molecules of Emotion.

Help Me - I Feel Crazy Emotions for No Reason!

2/4/2019

Most people are able to "feel another's pain" if they are witness to, read about, or hear about a loved one getting hit hard, say, by a baseball. Science is revealing that there are mirror neurons in the brain that allow this to happen. Yet, highly sensitive people (HSPs) have a different neurology from the average and therefore feel a lot more without even needing a known physical stimulus. These HSPs will often feel emotions or even have dreams that are not theirs.

In Sheep's Clothing

10/1/2018

Picture
Highly sensitive and empathic people are natural targets of bullies and manipulators, some of whom cloak themselves so well as to be true incarnations of wolves in sheep's clothing. Dr. George Simon saw the sociologically damaging pattern coming long before most of us, and his insights help us to see the pattern so that it may be broken. If there are no available prey, the predators move on. Learn how not to be seen as prey. Learn what it takes to return our society to a more civilized one, where predators return to the wild, where they belong.

On Being Prepared for Natural Disasters

1/3/2005

TSUNAMI, ANIMALS AND THE RETURN TO BEING HUMANS
Occasionally, folks ask us about where the safest place to live is in light of the traditional prophecies regarding the potential for cataclysm including natural disasters. Our response is typically that when we come to balance within ourselves, aligned with our natural path and purpose we will find ourselves in the right place. There is no one part of the world that we should flock to because of its "safety." The only thing to be sure of is not to make decisions based on fear. ...

I have the intelligence to know I am stupid, and the arrogance to experiment. Both are key scientific values.

    Goal

To express solution-oriented arguments toward a healthier self and world.

    Insights

We can live without our thinking brain, but will die without our emotional brain.  Listen to those first emotions, for the body never lies. Then do thoughtful diligence, because we often lie to ourselves.
    ---
    No 'system' is corrupt;

each employee either does the most and best they can, or they choose to do the least they can get away with.
    ---
No technology is bad, each person who uses it chooses to behave or not within it.
    ---
If we agree upon and prioritize a single core value, like integrity, everything we say and do would reflect that value, even as time, technology, and circumstances change.
    ---
If we apply, for example, polarity physics to social communications and transactions, we would recognize the importance of balancing the best of both liberal and conservative aspects, instead of knee-jerking from one unbalanced extreme to another like a free radical.
    ---
Emotions are vital yet never an adult's excuse for responding immaturely. Instead, see emotional spikes, whether positive or negative, as a sign to slow down, backup, and proceed with informed caution or a change in direction.
