With thanks to www.phionbalance.com the following table may be used as a general guideline to determine what foods will create an acid or alkaline condition in the body. This is significantly different from whether a food tests acid or alkaline. For instance, lemons are acidic, but create an alkaline condition in the body. Opinions vary, but generally speaking you want a balance of about 60% alkaline and 40% acid in the body. More alkaline conditions may be required for weakened immune systems, or if combating cancer, as cancer cells cannot grow in an alkaline environment.
Also, notice how your gut responds to a given food, and trust a negative response.
