Off The Cuff

Take what works, discard what doesn’t.
We're all unique even though our basic needs are the same.

Free Yourself, Free Us All - End Bullying

Picture
A bully is any person who believes it is their right to mess with any person in any way, no matter how small.

A bully can be of any age.
A bully can act and dress any part.
...

A bully doesn’t want to grow up.
A bully is often more covert than overt.
A bully can mess with you at home, at work, or at play.
A bully can mess with your body, your mind, or your heart.

A bully needs someone to blame.
A bully sees life as a game or you as their pawn.
A bully plays by unwritten, secret rules.
A bully never enlists the players.
A bully enjoys toying with the living.
A bully knows what they are doing.
A bully knows right from wrong.
A bully convinces you that little lies and fake appearances are not only good, but necessary.

A bully is smart in two ways: self-protection and other-deception.

A bully counts on your goodness and naiveté.
A bully counts on your passive philosophy.
A bully counts on your fear and silence.
A bully counts on you not being believed.
A bully counts on you having no usable evidence.
A bully counts on you to blame the whistleblower.
A bully counts on you to blame the victim.

Bullies love followers and idolizers.
Bullies seek out those who can be hoodwinked, trained, and enslaved.
Bullies encourage passive, romantic love, because that’s the blind kind.

Bullies fear smart, strong, independent people who protect themselves with strength of character and integrity of action.

Disable bullying like we disable germs
  • Wash your hands and your life of them, frequently and persistently
  • Say no, confidently and firmly, the first time and every time
  • Protect your heart, mind, and nest egg
  • Educate others on the identification and prevention of all forms of bullying
  • Keep a journal for use in court, if needed
  • Learn to be assertive and alert at all times.

Beware Assumptions and Beliefs
  • When we only accept things as they are, we enable the problems we see growing in the world.
  • Beware those who teach acceptance without teaching resistance.
  • Beware those who fight-monger and war-monger, for they keep you from assertive thinking and action.
  • Beware those who passive-monger and positivity-monger, for they keep you from assertive thinking and action.

Freedom is Cultivated
To be truly free we must do two things, simultaneously and without fail:
  • Choose to do right as a way of life, and
  • Refuse to enable those who refuse to do right.

Utopian Truth
The truth is that no utopia can exist without constant awareness and cultivation. We must always be on alert. We must always be ready to take action. We must always be improving. We must be like the accomplished doctors, teachers, gardeners, and chefs who cultivate for the love of healing, educating, growing, and feeding - not for the love of fame, fortune, or self-aggrandizement. Bullies come in all forms, but they are recognized, most, by their selfishness and greed that they often hide through their saccharine railroad schemes.

I have the intelligence to know I am stupid, and the arrogance to experiment. Both are key scientific values.

    Goal

To express solution-oriented arguments toward a healthier self and world.

    Insights

We can live without our thinking brain, but will die without our emotional brain.  Listen to those first emotions, for the body never lies. Then do thoughtful diligence, because we often lie to ourselves.
    ---
    No 'system' is corrupt;

each employee either does the most and best they can, or they choose to do the least they can get away with.
    ---
No technology is bad, each person who uses it chooses to behave or not within it.
    ---
If we agree upon and prioritize a single core value, like integrity, everything we say and do would reflect that value, even as time, technology, and circumstances change.
    ---
If we apply, for example, polarity physics to social communications and transactions, we would recognize the importance of balancing the best of both liberal and conservative aspects, instead of knee-jerking from one unbalanced extreme to another like a free radical.
    ---
Emotions are vital yet never an adult's excuse for responding immaturely. Instead, see emotional spikes, whether positive or negative, as a sign to slow down, backup, and proceed with informed caution or a change in direction.
